I believe food should be fun. I enjoy eating cupcakes and poptarts and my goal is for you to enjoy all of the foods you like without judgement or guilt. When we put food on a pedestal, labeling it as "good" or "bad," we experience a disconnect from our body's internal signals and are vulnerable to disordered eating behaviors. Eating in recovery can pose many challenges (from tummy troubles to mental anguish). I will work with you to make this experience as comfortable as possible while gently pushing you towards making peace with food.
I have extensive experience in the field of eating disorder recovery and have worked in some of the leading treatment centers in the country throughout all levels of care. I have developed programming for clients suffering from binge eating disorder and other forms of loss of control eating as well as clients experiencing severe and enduring eating disorders. I co-lead a diabetes and eating disorder program and enjoy helping clients navigate this often-challenging combination. I have experience working with adults and adolescents of all genders.
